Boccheggiano

Situated half way between Massa Marittima and the Abbey of San Galgano in the Tuscan Maremma lies Boccheggiano, a small medieval village surrounded by the green countryside and woods of the Colline Metallifere, the "Metal Hills".

Its altitude of 675 metres offers splendid views. On one side you can see the sinuous coastline of the island of Elba, on the other the Sienese hills and the unmistakable profile of Monte Amiata.

These unspoilt surroundings provide the setting of "Il Frutteto" and "La Ciottolona", a holiday home and a small restaurant located in the historic centre of the village.
